PokerListings.com and Full Tilt Poker just keep dishing out great prizes for free. The latest recipient is Michael “mike24788″ Eberle, who took down a freeroll last weekend to win a $12,000 World Poker Tour prize package.

To qualify for the freeroll, players had to have signed up at Full Tilt Poker through PokerListings.com, then earn 300 player points during the month-long qualifying period. A total of 138 qualifiers showed up to play the event last weekend, and Michael Eberle walked away the winner.

Eberle, who is a chief privacy officer and IT auditor living in Reichenbach-Steegen, Germany, has been playing poker between one and two years now. His biggest poker win previously was $1,000, and now he has a $12,000 prize package to a WPT event.

“I did not expect anything at all when I started playing,” Eberle said about the freeroll. “During the tournament I set moving targets: final 5 tables, final 3 and final table. When I came to the final table being in quite a good shape, I realized for the first time my good opportunity to win the tournament.”

Eberle said when play was down to three, he and another player were quite short-stacked, and when he got down to heads-up, his opponent had about 10 times more chips than he did.
